Growing up Italian meant growing up eating
delicious homemade food. My grandmother was a wonderful cook and baker.
As a child, I would watch her in fascination as she made big batches of bread dough, huge pots of sauce and dozens of baked goods for our holiday feasts.
After many years in the food business, I decided to market the wonderful stuffed breads I grew up
eating. My grandmother would bake them and serve them fresh out of the oven
with a drizzle of olive oil. It wouldn't take long before they disappeared,
much the same way they do now when people bake them at home!
I started selling the breads at the Farmers Market in the summer of 2007, and
one year later landed them in Whole Foods Market. Once I started with the breads, I kept on going, and even I am amazed at just how far
the company has come. Philomena Food Company currently produces 17 products in all.
Every product features original recipes made with only the finest ingredients and homemade touches.
Gathering around the table is the perfect way to spend quality time
with your family. My goal is to get people back in the kitchen with their families
to enjoy a healthy, beautiful meal. By creating authentic Italian products
for you to enjoy, we help you do just that. We do the hard work. You
do the baking and get all the praise!

Bon gusto,
